1970’s GLORP GUM Warehouse Toboggan Hat

Size Guide

Imagine, if you will, that it is February 3rd 1970’s and you’re a warehouse worker in the beautifully unheated GLORP Gum factory in scenic Minneapolis, MN.

Now, imagine that you look down and catch your reflection on the icy ground below as you brush the coal soot from your cheeks. You cannot help but notice the jaunty color of the orange toboggan hat that insulates your poor, overworked head.

Now, imagine that it is right now, and you’re reading these words on the screen of the computer and asking aloud, “How can I bring the stylish couture of the 1970’s working class man or woman into my home?” Now stop imagining and realize that the answer is EASILY!

This extremely limited edition orange toboggan hat is an exact replica of the warehouse hats distributed to Glorp Gum warehouse workers in the 1970’s to solve the company’s rampant frostbite issue related to terrible working conditions.

The hat itself is a GAP brand 78% lambswool 22% nylon hat. Super nice, not some cheap gas station thing or anything like that.
Super limited! So get one while they last!

What brand T-shirts do you print on?

All GLORP shirts are printed on Next Level T-shirt blanks. Why do a lot of T-shirt places not tell you the brand of blanks they use? The answer is that they use cheap and ill fitting blanks. We don't use those. We use the best. Next Level apparel is an ethical and responsible company and they produce the absolute best T-shirt money can buy.

How are your shirts printed?

All GLORP shirts are screen printed with water-based inks and usually (depending on the color of the shirt) discharge ink.

Cool... So what is discharge ink and why do I care?

Discharge ink is a water based product that is formulated to deactivate the dyes used on natural fabrics. Once the dyes are deactivated, eco-friendly water-based inks are used to essentialy re-dye the fabric. This allows for tighter registration (a more detailed image) and bright prints on dark fabric without any ink build up at all. This leaves you with a super soft T-shirt with a print that has almost no feel (after washing). This is great for you because the shirt doesn't fade and can breathe easily because the ink is inside the material and not sitting on top.

When will my order arrive?

Products are mailed within 1-3 days of ordering. The customer will be sent an email with shipment information and a tracking number for US orders, and the customs number for international orders. International orders can take 3-4 weeks to arrive depending on where you are located. US orders take 2-5 days in transit.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, but it may take up to a month for your package to arrive depending on where you are located in the world.

What do I do if I ordered the wrong size shirt?

Returns may be made on any unwashed and unworn items in exchange for a different size. There is a $5 charge to cover re-shipment. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges to mail the item back, and items can be exchanged for any item of equal value or as long as it is in stock. Please email any questions about returns to glorpgum (at) gmail (dot) com.

When returning an item please make sure to include a note describing the exchange you are looking to make, check/money order or cash for $5.

How should I wash my shirt?

I recommend machine washing in cold water, and turning the shirt inside out. (Although I've been washing my GLORP shirts in hot water since 2013 and they all look great!)

Do you offer wholesale pricing for retail stores?

GLORP is available for wholesale to some shops. Drop me a line through the contact page for details.

Will you design a shirt for me?

Sure, we do that all of the time! Feel free to contact me through the contact page.
